Honoring Our Ancestral Gifts

This is a sacred space designed for the gathering of BIPOC community members that identify as healthcare workers, educators, healers, mind/body/spirit workers, caregivers, activists & all who provide care in the community. This is an in person gathering in Oakland CA.

We will meet weekly for 6 weeks to engage spirit in movement prayer to heal ourselves and our communities.

Let’s us remember, reclaim and restore our ancestral power.

Communal Healing For Healthcare Providers

At our Self Care /communal care sessions, we will gather together to connect to the self, the body, and the soul through ritual, expression, rhythms, movement, and mindfulness.

This 6-session experiential process is designed for community members that identify as a healthcare worker, health care provider, educator, healer, mind, body and spirit workers and others who provide care in the community.

It is most valuable to attend all sessions, creating a sense of rhythm and consistency for the healing process.

For healers who are interested in facilitating healing sessions in the community using this RICHER Model, please be sure to notify Uzo for preparation.

Participation is free for community members and students. Salaried practitioners are encouraged to donate $20-$75/session, of which all proceeds will go back to the program for future sessions and initiatives.

Hackathon for Depression

Hackathon to create awareness for Depression in Immigrant and Refugee communities. Hosted by 1951 Coffee, and Thon X

It was an amazing twelve hour workspace. Where folks from multiple disciplines came together to work on tackling a cause- increasing awareness around Depression in Immigrant and Refugee communities. There were so many great ideas and lots of passion in the room.

Before the participants got to work, they volunteered to engage in a demonstration of the RICHER model. The participants volunteered to share some work that reflect how they felt. This is the pre and post reflection of how they felt in their mind, body and spirit.

Mbongui Square Festival is an annual festival that celebrates the performing and visual arts. Organized by Kiandanda Dance Theater, the festival gathers dance, music, visual arts and spoken word artists of varied styles and artistic choices, from the Bay Area and across the world. What defines Mbongui Square Festival is interdisciplinary arts and multicultural community.

Healing Journeys 

  Deepen the relationship between the inner artist and healer

Healing Journeys is an opportunity to experience the beauty of self healing and being witnessed in a safe and loving community. By tapping into our creative and healer self – we will remember what may have been forgotten; that the power and guidance for personal healing is within. 
 
This 6 week journey will explore an integrative approach exploring a number of themes including pain and darkness, art as a turning point, embodying spirit and experiencing transcendence. Will you join us?
 
When: Sundays 11am – 1pm 
Location: Private Residence RSVP to receive details 
Dates: November 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th  December 3rd, and December 10th
Each Sunday witnessing session will be a potluck, please bring food and offerings for the alter.
